| Introduction | I am first and foremost a Christian. By that, I mean that I am a follower of Jesus Christ, and I am depending on the righteousness of Christ and His work on the cross to cover my sin and make me acceptable to God. I am also a Naturist. By this I mean that I affirm the creational goodness of the human body exactly as God made it. The unclothed body is not shameful, nor is it designed by God to be an object of lust. I believe that treating the Body as if it is an object of lust is dishonoring to our Creator. However, it is not only those who sell images of the naked body for the purpose of arousing lust who commit this sin. It is also those who insist that the body always remain covered in mixed company, for they hold and promote the same understanding of the human body that pornographers do! This is an understanding that I have come to reject. And having rejected it, I cannot continue to live as if it is true. That's why I'm now a naturist... by biblical conviction. |
