Interests Politics (especially analysing Public Opinion - Opinion Poll demographics and the Geography of the Vote); History (Labour/Social/Cultural), Football (Liverpool/Lincoln City/Inverness/Inter Milan/Werder Bremen); Photography, Graphic Design, Media (incl. the dumbing-down thereof). Television - Monty Python, Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson comedy, Fawlty Towers, The Office, The Fast Show, Harry Enfield, The Simpsons, The Royale Family, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Auf wiedersehen Pet, Boys from the Blackstuff, Pre-1984 Last of the Summer Wine (after 1984 it became an embarrassing caricature of its former self), Also have something of a penchant for driving over Mountain Passes with many many Hair-pin bends in Alpine Europe, (One of my favourite days involved driving over 4 absolutely stunning mountain passes - the Oberalp, Furka, Grimsel (my particular fave), and Susten - over an 8 hour period in central Switzerland a few years back), Places I most want to travel to on next trip to UK: North of Scotland/Orkney/Shetland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Norway (especially Bergen, Alesund and the Fjords, the Lofoten Islands and Tromso).
