Introduction | Eliza is a contributing writer for EQUUS magazine, and the author of Everyday Horsemanship and Everyday Trail Riding. She has contributed to many collections about Thoroughbred racing, including Greatest Kentucky Derby Upsets, Horse Racing Divas, and Second-Chance Horses. She is the co-author of Better Bombproofing, by Rick Pelicano. Her horse-related work has appeared in magazines including The Chronicle of the Horse, The Blood-Horse, and Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred. She writes the Horse and Home column for Phelpssports.com, and the Outrider column for www.raceday360.com. General interest work has appeared in The Washington Post, Brain, Child, and American History magazine, among other places. Eliza is the author of the academic book Two Covenants: Representations of Twentieth-Century Southern Jewishness. Her scholarly writing has appeared in various journals and collections, including Southern Cultures and Dixie Diaspora. She lives with her family in Washington, D.C.
