IntroductionI have a very definite conception of how the various pieces of Baltimore fit together, having lived here most of my life. As a whole, this mental model may be rather undigestable and complex, but Baltimore InnerSpace strives to break it down into manageable and understandable pieces. Born in 1952, moved to Baltimore in 1960 at the peak of the city's population and just prior to the completion of the Beltway and JFX and the final dismantling of the streetcar system. Got my BS and MS in Civil Engineering at Penn State and Northwestern University respectively, specializing in Transportation Planning for both. Worked for the Baltimore City Department of Planning from 1977 to 1996. Have done some consulting before and since, whether anyone wanted to hear my advice or not.
