| Introduction | I acquired an interest in energy sources while in graduate school at the University of Texas in the late 1970s, doing systems analysis for geothermal/geopressured energy. I got distracted by telecommunications network technology, and spent 25 years doing technology forecasting, long-term systems predictions, and building one-off test and measurement capabilities. Being on the wrong side of a corporate acquisition gave me a chance to follow up on a growing interest in public policy, and I have returned to studying the consequences of our collective energy decisions. And occasionally other stuff. |
